The Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre features a range of equestrian instructors – including former Olympic coaches, Australian riders and the current National Showjumping Champion – available for hire.
The instructors were selected following a nationwide competitive selection process for the and are available to anyone interested in casual lessons or more comprehensive coaching programs, tailored for all levels of experience from enthusiastic beginners to elite riders.

Gillian Rickard - dressage specialist and coach educator

Gillian Rickard
Qualifications:
EFA NCAS Level 3 Dressage Coach, Coach Educator and Assessor and A Level Judge.
Experience:
Highlights of her riding and coaching career include representing Australia at the World Equestrian Games, being Head Coach for the Australian Dressage Team at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games and Assistant Coach for the Australian Dressage Team at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games and being named New South Wales Dressage Person of the Year in 2000. Gill is a practising equine veterinarian at the Illawarra Equine Centre and also holds a Bachelor of Education (Hons).

Jacqui van Montfrans - dressage specialist and coach educator

Experience:
20 years coaching experience; FEI rider – successfully competed at State, National and International level as member of NSWIS team, Olympic Athlete Program and Australian Representative.

Jacqui adopts a correct and systematic approach to training based on the German Training Scale. Combined with a coaching philosophy of trust and respect, Jacqui encourages and promotes the partnership between horse & rider to be the best it can be. Jacqui also mentors riders and coaches on creating a value system from which a true insight into their own workings and behaviours may be developed and promoted.

Experience:
Christine has competed and taught showjumping, eventing and dressage at all levels. Christine is a member of the NSW Pony Club Australia’s paid instructors panel and is a member of the NSW NCAS Advisory panel. She offers training for groups and individuals preparing for their Coach assessments and to riders wanting to improve their personal skills.

Sally-Ann Barbera - general coach and coach educator

EFA/NCAS Level 2 general coach, currently training for Level 2 dressage specialist. Coach educator/Assessor for EFA & AHRC.
Experience:
Sally is a current dressage and showjumping competitor and regularly attends clinics with her mentors Richard Weiss, Miguel Tavora and Simon Kale in order to update and continually improve her skills. Sally offers instruction in dressage and showjumping as well as mentoring and assessment for NCAS and AHRC accreditation. Sally offers regular train to teach days at CPEC for those aspiring to become coaches or those wishing to further their coaching level.

Blas Lago - dressage specialist

EFA NCAS Level 2 Dressage specialist.
Experience:
Blas has a classical Spanish background and continues to train his horses and riders in the classical style. He is currently competing at Grand Prix level with his horse Northern Hector with recent achievements including 5th place at the Sydney CDI in 2008, 6th in the CDI-W at Equitana 2008 and 5th in the CDI-W at the Victorian Dressage Championships 2008. Blas offers dressage training on a regular basis at CPEC.

Michelle Baker - general coach and dressage specialist

EFA NCAS Level 1 coach, Level 2 (dressage specialist).
Experience:
Michelle offers lessons at Centennial Parkland Equestrian Centre from Monday to Friday. She has kept horses at CPEC for the last 15 years and has coached there for the last five years. Michelle currently has two horses that she competes in Dressage at Medium/Advanced level. Michelle offers clients lessons in many disciplines and not only has her Equestrian coaching qualifications but also a Bachelor of Human Movement and Physical Education Degree from Sydney University. Michelle can be found most days in one of the arenas or with one of her horses in the beautiful Clydesdale Pavilion.
