Instructor: CHIS CHUGG

Qualifications: EFA NCAS Level 3 Showjumping Coach.

Experience: Chris Chugg is one of Australia’s elite jumping riders. He is the current National Champion and has represented Australia twice in the World Cup Final and was the Australian Reserve rider for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Other achievements include winning over 30 World Cup qualifiers on 11 different horses, three time winner of the Australian World Cup league and winning and placing in European Grand Prix and World Cup events.  Chris has been a member of the NSWIS elite squad since its inception and he is currently on the National Elite list with his Belgian Warmblood stallion, Vivant. Chris's students are themselves World Cup and Grand Prix winners with his head rider, Amanda Madigan having won three Grand Prix showjumping classes so far this year.

Instructor: GILLIAN RICKARD

Qualifications: EFA NCAS Level 3 Dressage Coach, Coach Educator and Assessor and A Level Judge.

Experience: Highlights of her riding and coaching career include representing Australia at the World Equestrian Games, being Head Coach for the Australian Dressage Team at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games and Assistant Coach for the Australian Dressage Team at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games and being named New South Wales Dressage Person of the Year in 2000.  Gill is a practising equine veterinarian at the Illawarra Equine Centre and also holds a Bachelor of Education (Hons).

Instructor: JACQUI VAN MONTFRANS

Qualifications:  EFA NCAS Level 2 Dressage Specialist, EFA Level I General, Coach Educator & Assessor, Performance Coach & Mentor, Work Place Trainer & Assessor

Experience: 20 years coaching experience; FEI rider – successfully competed at State, National and International level as member of NSWIS team, Olympic Athlete Program and Australian Representative.

Details: Jacqui adopts a correct and systematic approach to training based on the German Training Scale. Combined with a coaching philosophy of trust and respect, Jacqui encourages and promotes the partnership between horse & rider to be the best it can be. Jacqui also mentors riders and coaches on creating a value system from which a true insight into their own workings and behaviours may be developed and promoted.

Instructor: AMANDA BENSON

Qualifications: EFA NCAS Level 2 Eventing specialist.

Experience: Originally from a cattle property in Queensland she now live is Arcadia. Amanda competed at Three Star level eventing for many years. She has trained and sold many horses that have had International success including Otis who placed 6th in the individual competition at the Atlanta Olympics and Poet's Corner who won Japan's first ever Three Day Event. Amanda now focuses on producing quality young horses for all 3 disciplines and offers coaching to riders of all ages and levels in dressage, cross country and show jumping.

Instructor: CHRISTINE JOHNSON

Qualifications:  EFA NCAS Level 2 General Coach and Coach Educator

Experience: Christine has competed and taught showjumping, eventing and dressage at all levels. Christine is a member of the NSW Pony Club Australia’s paid instructors panel and is a member of the NSW NCAS Advisory panel. She offers training for groups and individuals preparing for their Coach assessments and to riders wanting to improve their personal skills.

Instructor: SALLY-ANN BARBERA

Qualifications: EFA/NCAS Level 2 general coach, currently training for Level 2 dressage specialist. Coach educator/Assessor for EFA & AHRC.

Experience: Sally is a current dressage and showjumping competitor and regularly attends clinics with her mentors Richard Weiss, Miguel Tavora and Simon Kale in order to update and continually improve her skills. Sally offers instruction in dressage and showjumping as well as mentoring and assessment for NCAS and AHRC accreditation. Sally offers regular train to teach days at CPEC for those aspiring to become coaches or those wishing to further their coaching level.

Instructor: BLAS LAGO

Qualifications: EFA NCAS Level 2 Dressage specialist.

Experience: Blas has a classical Spanish background and continues to train his horses and riders in the classical style.  He is currently competing at Grand Prix level with his horse Northern Hector with recent achievements including 5th place at the Sydney CDI in 2008, 6th in the CDI-W at Equitana 2008 and 5th in the CDI-W at the Victorian Dressage Championships 2008.  Blas offers dressage training on a regular basis at CPEC.

Instructor: JUDY DIERKS

Qualifications: Level 2 Dressage specialist.

Experience: Judy was a member of the Australian team at the World Equestrian Games in The Hague in 1994 and has represented Australia on numerous other occasions.  Judy has also been the NSW and Victoria Grand Prix State Champion. Judy coached the New Zealand Dressage team for WEG (Rome, 1998) and for the Olympic Games (Sydney 2000). She focuses on gymnastic work with the horses and her ambition is: "To try to help with passing on the knowledge of equestrian I've gained over the years to other people".

Instructor: MICHELLE BAKER

Qualifications: EFA NCAS Level 1 coach – will have completed her Level 2 (dressage specialist) by November 2009.

Experience: Michelle offers lessons at Centennial Parkland Equestrian Centre from Monday to Friday. She has kept horses at CPEC for the last 15 years and has coached there for the last five years through one of the riding schools. Michelle currently has two horses that she competes in Dressage, one at Medium level and one at Novice. Michelle offers clients lessons in many disciplines and not only has her Equestrian coaching qualifications but also a Bachelor of Human Movement and Physical Education Degree from Sydney University. Michelle can be found most days in one of the arenas or with one of her horses in the beautiful Clydesdale Pavilion.

Instructor: SANDY LUCAS

Qualifications: EFA NCAS Level 1 General coach - will have completed Level 2 (Eventing specialist) by November 2009.

Experience: Sandy is an active competitor having completed numerous 1, 2 and 3 star tracks and currently has two FEI horses.  Sandy’s young horse has just been picked for the Australian Talent Search Squad. Sandy has recently spent time in Korea coaching their national eventing team towards the Asia Pacific challenge. Sandy offers lessons to riders of all levels from beginners to advanced riders.

Instructor: GREG POWELL

Qualifications: Will complete EFA NCAS Level 1 General by August 2009.

Experience: Having worked with horses since he was a boy, Greg has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in the art of building lasting relationships with horses. Greg has identified that a special relationship with a horse can only be achieved through mutual trust and understanding and not fear and intimidation. Greg offers tuition in basic principles of horsemanship, secrets to getting your horse to lock on, preparing you and your horse for the unexpected, ground school, working a rope, float loading and safety under saddle.
