Unique ponies at the Equestrian Centre

There are a range of horses at the centre, suited to riders with a range of capabilities, experience and...heights!

Evy - the smallest pony at the centre at 9 hands highSome not-so-tall riders might find Evy, for instance, suitable for other reasons than her good looks and calm demeanour. Evy, from Papillon Riding Stables, is the smallest pony at the centre at nine hands high. Papillon also has the tallest riding school horse at the Centre, Al, a German bred warm-blood who stands at 17 hands!

Al - the tallest riding horse at the centre stands at 17 handsOn the other hand, if maturity is a rider’s preference, the oldest riding school ponies at the centre are Dante and Christmas Carol from Moore Park Riding Stables, both of whom turn 27 this year. Al and Evy together at the centreWhile the horses’ birthdays are celebrated on 1 August, Christmas Carol was actually born on 25 December. You can be assured that even though Dante and Christmas Carol are mature, regular exercise helps make both them and their riders healthy.
