Bookings for CPEC Lunge Yard
Monday 19 April
CPEC patrons are reminded that the Lunge Yard must be booked prior to use and bookings can only be made for 15 minutes intervals per horse per day with no back to back bookings. This is enforceable under regulation 8.6 of the Code of Conduct : 8.6 Lunge Yard d) v) (bookings for the lunge yard must) be made for 15 minute intervals, one such interval only to be allocated per horse per day, and no back-to-back bookings to be made by any Participant (including, without limitation, Riding Schools).
It is also important that those spectating must not stand on the railings, make loud noises and not place any part of their body through the gaps in the surrounds. These activities may frighten the horse and put the horse, the trainer and the spectator at risk of injury.
The Square Lunge Yard in the Equestrian Grounds provides an excellent alternative and does not require booking however at times of high demand patrons must limit their use of the yard to 20 minute intervals. If there is no one using the Square Lunge Yard for lunging, participants may use the yard for riding only. This must cease if a patron would like to commence lunging. Use of the Equestrian Grounds is limited to those patrons on a Silver, Platinum or Clydesdale membership or to those who have applied for an annual Equestrian Grounds permit.
