Horses going on holiday

24 November 2009

December and January are peak times for our four legged friends to go on holiday! Please remember to notify the CPEC office with the dates your horse is leaving and expected to return. Upon return, please provide the CPEC office with an Animal Health Declaration form complete with the details about where your horse had been for the past 30 days. This is a vital step in our infection control procedure.

If the office already has a copy of your horse's current Tetanus and Strangles certificate, this does not need to be provided on re-entry. However, if the 12 month booster has fallen due while your horse was away from CPEC then this certification must be provided upon re-entry.

These Animal Health Declaration forms are available on our website or from the office. Additional copies will be left in the leaflet holders at the front of the office and can be placed in the Centre Manger's mailbox next to the vehicle entry.

Have a happy holiday!
