The Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust is undertaking a $280,000 upgrade project at the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre.

The project commenced in April 2011 and involves maintenance and refurbishment work on A, B, D, E and F pavilions.

An example of a stable, prior to worksWork to A, B and D pavilions is now completed and entailed repairing and replacing roof flashings and timber bargeboards to help protect the buildings from rain and water damage.

CPEC work 2The E & F perimeter stables are currently being repaired, restored and repainted to protect, brighten them up and and improve the CPEC experience for you and your horses.

This work is only possible because of a joint effort by specialist carpenters and painters and a heritage specialist architect. Utilising the skills of the latter will ensure the preservation of the building’s heritage integrity.

The project is expected to be completed by July 2011, weather permitting.
