Horse riding has always been part of the Parklands' history and this special association can be enjoyed by all.
History
After 115 years, the Royal Agricultural Society relocated to Homebush Bay in 1997, with the former Showground vested in the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust.
Officially opened in June 1998, the Equestrian Centre had been redeveloped by the NSW Government to the tune of $10.3 million. Combining the pre-existing heritage buildings with new additions, such as the huge 75m x 40m Indoor arena, has a dazzling effect.
The complex has a timeless atmosphere, blending a sense of history and tradition with the modern city skyline as a striking and contradictory backdrop.
