The Equestrian Centre

The Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre is located just minutes from the Sydney CBD. Set within Moore Park, the site is formerly run by the Royal Agricultural Society and was famed as an historic part of the former Royal Easter Show site.

After 115 years, the Royal Agricultural Society relocated to Homebush Bay in 1997, and the site transferred to the ownership of the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust, becoming part of the wider Centennial Parklands.

Officially opened to the public in June 1998, more than $10 million had been invested in upgrades, new stables and heritage restoration at the time. This included the construction of the stunning 75m x 40m Covered Arena, which has subsequently been complemented by a new covered Support Arena.

The Centre has a timeless atmosphere, blending a sense of history and tradition with the modern city skyline as a striking and contradictory backdrop.

As a public site, you are welcome to visit and walk through the Centre. However, for the safety of horses, riders and yourself, please observe all rules and regulations for the Centre, and never feed a horse.
